Awaken a town 1

One man awake awakens another.
A second awakens his next-door brother.
Three awake can rouse a town,
by turning the whole place upside down.
Many awake can make such a fuss;
it finally awakens the rest of us.
One man up with dawn in his eyes,
surely then multiplies.

Awaken by Lawrence Trimble (1700’s)

These lyrics have echoed through my mind and heart lately. There is something about a spark of inspiration that can light an unquenchable thirst for something new.

Are you awake?

Or are you sleepwalking?

Today take the time to lean into the opportunities that are present before you to awaken the dream and passion inside of you to believe again.

This poem talks about the inspiration found in one man early in the morning, finding his voice and gathering those who are ready to listen.

What does awakening look like in your life this February?
