Keep looking up …
That’s the secret to life.

Have you ever had a desire to achieve something that in the natural mind looks and feels unachievable?
How did that moment look and feel for you?
Lately, I had an idea to put all my goals on a piece of paper. I decided to dare to include even my most crazy ideas. I took the step of finding pictures that matched what I had written (thanks to Pinterest). A generous friend of mine volunteered her time to make a collage for me, all my pictures on one page, as a gentle reminder of what my goals were.
I have to admit that at first glance at what my friend had put together, I felt afraid. As my eyes scanned through the images, that almost looked familiar, I felt as though I had set myself up to fail. For I did not have even the slightest idea of how the story, that these pictures told so beautifully, would ever unfold in my life. All I knew was that I needed more than my strength, I needed the faith to believe that this could also be my story.
I smiled and looked up knowing that if I continued looking around me, nothing made sense. I prayed to the heavens to release what was for me, then I rested in the belief that this would open up my eyes to the opportunities around me. The fear was replaced by a sense of comfort that I did not have to do this alone.
Do you often feel overwhelmed by life? Or, do you feel like you are running in circles with no sense of accomplishment? I dare you to stop what you are doing. Reflect and identify what it is that you really would like to achieve, even the most seemingly out-of-this-world idea. Ask yourself some tough questions; like what does it look like, feel like, taste like, and why does it matter to me? Then look up to the heavens, and ask for help.
Like me, God may open your eyes to the everyday opportunities around you that connect you to your heart’s innermost desires.
No matter where you find yourself today, take a moment to stop and look up. This might be the very thing you need to get a fresh perspective, to get the deep knowing that you are not doing it alone. The universe has your back, and God is with you. The comfort you need to recharge and to keep going with clarity, is in the simple act of looking up.
I needed this. A great reminder to shift my perspective
This really resonated with me, you share with clarity and conviction. Thank you
