It’s time to stop hiding 2

It’s a jungle out there…

The world is getting fierce and a little ugly. Fighting, shouting and demanding attention.

Some days I wish I could just camouflage myself. Taking moments to just be in the background, rather than stand out.

We search out connection through online platforms and success. It is easily a place that we can hide and create a false version of ourselves. We live in a world that is communicating more than ever before, yet we have more isolation and anxiety caused by disconnection.

Everybody communicates, yet few connect because so often we are living out a false version of ourselves trying to keep everyone happy and fit in to society.

You were born to connect with others.

You were born to live out a unique calling.

You were not born to hide, in a culture that asks us to fit in.

We were created as human beings to connect with one another, and our ability to make meaning from these connections is what sets us apart from other animals. Humans synchronise with one another when we are in proximity to one another, especially when we look into one another’s eyes.

Empathy is one of the ways that we understand the language that we are communicating with one another. Yet we spend so much time with our heads looking down into our phones, seeking out the connection, we so deeply desire.

The answer to your question will always be found in the depths of community, rather than a search engine that uses technology and algorithms.

Is it time to stop hiding and discover who you truly are amid community?

Look up,

Listen,

Tell the truth.

It’s time to take off the camouflage that holds you captive.
