A generous life

Sometimes loving generously is darn hard work.

Every time I feel like I am caring and giving, new opportunities arise and test me asking for just a little more.

It’s the little things that make a big difference in my daily life, not the dramatic, obvious moments.

When I stop myself from letting rip when someone really annoys, when I let someone in as I speed down the freeway, it’s when I think deeply before I respond in haste.

Living generously is outworked in small moments of compassion.

I love it when Mother Teresa said

‘Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.’

If we all just did something little to make someone else’s day a little brighter, I do believe our world would be strengthened.

Start with those closest.
