Generosity is not proven in a single act, – the true spirit of generosity is a lifestyle.
Generosity is not a chore, an act, an obligation, but a stance – a way of life.
It is essential that we are generous with our words and actions, but there are some things about us that are unique – gifts, personality, skill-set, genius, our flair – which make a lifestyle, a stance of generosity, integrous and in-sync with who we are.
This is the idea that generosity comes from who we are – from the inside-out.
This kind of generosity is easy because it comes from who we are and what we have, rather than trying to fit the mould of what another’s generosity looks like. It is from the inside… to the out.
‘How can I be generous from the inside-out?’ can be answered by every person with a few simple questions:
- What do I have?
- What can I do?
- What of me can be shared – given away?
Once you have answered these, just start with what is in your hand to give and start small.
